I have been working with young students, their parents, and new teachers for a few decades now, and I have the experience necessary to help children succeed in school and become confident learners. With a Master's Degree in Education and 34 years of teaching experience, I have had the privilege of teaching over 1000 children and helping each one achieve the next academic skill set. As a tutor for Wyzant, I have worked with students ranging from age 4 through adult, including bilingual students and those with special learning needs. I work with my students' individual learning styles and strengths, using a variety of materials and activities to help them master new material and skills. As you search for an experienced tutor, I hope that you will give me your consideration. I am available evenings and weekends.

We had a great first lesson with Suzanna. My son was comfortable, relaxed and enjoyed his lesson. We look forward to the next lesson!
This session they wrote down goals. They completed the goals which made it a rewarding experience for him. Can't wait for next session.
Excellent experience, & knowledge in the education field. Suzanna has a good communication style, & the ability to put you at ease. She easy to work with.
As we talked my expectation is that Rinka gets minimum necessary English abilities and communication skills to learn, make friends and enjoy in an elementary school during a few months.
Suzanna worked on reading, writing, letter sounds with my daughter, and this is what she needs the most right now. Very good session. Thank You
It took a while for my daughter to calm down, but once she did she had a great time. After Suzanne left all Sammy did was talk about her and when is she coming back :)
Suzanna is very warm and open person, she has a lot of knowledge and experience in teaching children. She knows how to keep student in focus while reading, she shows what is interested about book that they read and she builds excitement even before they start to read just by looking first on cover of the book. After first lesson with Suzanna my son can't wait to read more fun and great stories. She is a great teacher.
Great experience! I can not thank her enough! My son loved her and we all felt very comfortable with her. She really does have a way with children! I can already see my son excited about reading he felt relaxed with her and she really went at his pace. Thank you!
Suzanna came to tutor my four year old son in writing, she had him engaged in seconds. I have never seen my son so excited to learn before. She used different techniques that kept his attention the entire hour and he was learning and excited to do more. At the end of the hour he was climbing all over her and did not want her to leave. She has so much patience and a wonderful way with children. I highly recommend her to tutor your child.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education (K-3) and over 30 years of teaching experience. I also have tutored my own younger siblings, my daughter, and many of her friends in all areas of the curriculum.
I have been teaching handwriting for 13 years. I have been using the Handwriting Without Tears system. I work with students on posture, pencil grip, letter formation, and other associated skills.
A mastery of phonics rules (not sight word memorizing) empowers children to read! I work with children on letter sounds, blends, spelling rules, and breaking words down into syllables. Also, children often are motivated by reading and writing that is meaningful to them. I have a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education (K-3) and over 30 years of teaching experience.
