I previously taught high school algebra 1 and geometry. I resigned from teaching to work more of a computer based role. I miss the students, but this is a great

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I've taught an ACT class when I was student teaching, teaching, as well as tutoring an ACT class privately for a few students. I received a 33 on the math portion of the ACT and I know what it takes to score well on the test in the mathematics portion.

I taught Algebra 1 for two years from 2012-2014. Algebra 1 was always my favorite subject growing up as I tend to be more of a systematic and procedural type of person.

I received 100% on the qualifications test for Algebra 2. I taught Algebra 2 when I was student teaching as well as recently tutored the subject to a college level student. I took honors pre-calc in high school which is the advanced level of algebra 2.

I taught a remedial level geometry during my student teaching at a High School. I also taught geometry for two years when I was teaching from 2012-2014. Geometry was the most fun to teach in my opinion because the subject involves drawing diagrams. Most students saw this as a positive opportunity to learn when they were able to draw in math class!

I play in local tournaments as an amateur qualifying for the Illinois Open in 2012 and 2016. I am a 4 time club champion at Chevy Chase Country Club (2012-2014, 2016). I have been playing golf my whole life and can definitely give some tips and pointers. My index is usually around 0.

Prealgebra is a procedural subject. There are many rules that must be followed and I would be more than happy to help out in learning and applying these rules.

Trigonometry has a lot to do with the unit circle as well as working with in radians. As a mathematics degree, I've taken many classes that involve trigonometry in college, as well as high school.
