Learn to speak Spanish fluently with a classically-trained (MA) native Spanish speaker for high school (all levels & AP in which problem solving and in depth looks at language structure are key), business, homeschool, study abroad or personal enrichment, with my creative approach to the language.
I am passionate about the Spanish language and have developed a unique teaching method which incorporates other innovative language learning approaches including using Montessori, Berlitz, Waldorf, current events, role playing, games, poetry, fairy tales, rhymes, Latino folk and pop culture--- all with much conversation throughout, to make you confident and fluent in Spanish while gaining a love for the language. Cristobal was very instrumental is assisting my college senior with the review of her Spanish paper. She received an A on the paper! Thank you!
Cristobal makes learning Spanish easy. He is very patient as I try to get the concepts. His lessons are easy to understand and informative. I'm excited to be learning from him.
My son needed some Spanish help in preparation for a Spanish class assessment. He took several lessons from Cristobal and improved a lot. Cristobal is a great tutor - we recommend him.
Cristobal is a wonderful teacher. His approach to teaching is fantastic! He makes you feel comfortable and it is amazing how much you learn in one session! He is always preparing lessons for the individual student and is dedicated to his students!
Cristobal has been working with us to develop our Spanish skills for an upcoming company meeting near El Paso. We feel confident moving forward as Cristobal has spent many months teaching us business jargon in Spanish.
We will surely miss him. He is a great instructor. Cris has patience to work through concepts in a realistic time frame. We especially enjoy reading books with him and discussing the plot or story line. It makes learning fun. We also practiced writing Spanish in sentence and paragraph form. We highly recommend Cristobal.
Cristobal was a tutor in Spanish for a group of my friends and me for about 1-1/2 years. Cristobal is, in our estimation, a very excellent tutor. Being a native speaker, his knowledge of Spanish is natural and unsurpassed, and his approach to teaching is very interesting, flexible and always level appropriate. Too, he has an extensive knowledge of Spanish culture in many aspects--history, literature, music, etc. and a very interesting way of sharing his knowledge of these subjects. Cristobal is very friendly and courteous and my friends and I feel very fortunate to have had him for our tutor. We unhesitatingly recommend him to anyone who is looking for an outstanding Spanish teacher.
The group comments from week 3 -

Cristobal is an excellent teacher. He's patient, very prepared, and maintains excellent time management. I always feel I've gained something new at the end of each session. I highly recommend him.
Josh today commented that he liked the lesson Cristobal did on verbs on a timeline.
He had an aha moment. He said that the time with Cristobal was helping understand Spanish better. i like the way Cristobal tries to customize his lessons.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
