I am a high school English teacher in my 10th year of teaching. I completed a Bachelors and Masters degree in teaching English from Washington University in St. Louis. I continue to teach full time but offer tutoring services locally on the weekends or during summer vacation for students who need extra help in various subjects in the humanities. I also prep students in all components of the ACT by focusing on empowering test-taking strategies and tips, not simply rote memorization of rules and facts.

My time is flexible: we can meet once a week, once a month, or just during the summer to work on ACT prep or English/Reading skills to prevent the summer slide.

Amazing!!

Laura is great! I took a practice ACT and it predicted I was going to get around a 28, with my lowest sections being English and reading. So, I wanted to mostly work with those sections. Laura helped me manage my time and provided me tons of practice to get the hang of it. She can focus on a section and really help you master it, and/or go over all the sections. I ended up getting my goal of a 33 on my ACT with my best sections being English and reading! She truly helped me and I definitely recommend her!
