I have tutored and worked with young and adult students who wants to learn English, mostly from foreign countries and just starting to learn English as their second language. I enjoy teaching them and helping them learn from the bottom, with very low knowledge of English words, as it is challenging for me and rewarding at the same time when I see their improvement in time. I started doing this when I was in college and fresh out of college, referred by friends who worked for people from different nationalities.
I try to make it fun, and sometimes we end up laughing at each other as I explain and describe certain words with actions to clearly depict the word.
I like having interaction with people of different cultures and I try to incorporate their culture, background and family values into teaching them English. I love to write from my heart and I try to give my students the freedom to be able to express themselves better while learning the English language.

I have traveled in different countries that gave me the exposure to different cultures and gave me a better understanding of people and their ways, and behavior and try to implement them while I help students learn.
I am patient and dedicated but I also expect that my students are open to communication if they find some difficulties through their learning process so we have a mutual understanding on how we can help them learn better.
I come from a close knit family of teachers, I also had a formal teaching work experience right after college, and now after many years, I would like to tutor once again , one on one students where it is more personalized than teaching in a classroom.
I like to help and make a students life better and hopefully inspire them at the same time. One never stops learning, and I know when I tutor, it is also a learning experience for me over again. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
