Within 15 minutes of starting my lesson, I had learned to read my first Hebrew word in a very long time. I needed a tutor who could explain the why's and be able to share tips on effective learning. I found all of this in Marshall. Thank you.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
In serving as the Bar/Bat Mitzvah tutor at a large North Shore congregation, I have worked with scores of students in the areas of Haftarah reading and blessings, Torah reading and blessings, prayer skills, and divrei Torah (speeches).
In addition, I have had years of experience in teaching Hebrew literacy, including reading, writing, comprehension, and grammar.
I look forward to sharing these skills with you! I will be happy to connect you with parents of previous students who would be more than willing to provide references!
