Hola! I am a certified Spanish teacher with over 15 years of teaching elementary, middle school, high school and college students. I have tutored individual students from middle school to adults. In my high school teaching experience I have taught all levels of Spanish (I, II, III, IV and Advanced Placement), so I am able to work with students at the beginning level all the way up to advanced levels. I currently teach elementary and middle school students. I have also worked with students who have learning difficulties and apply a variety of strategies to help them learn. I have also tutored students learning English as a Second Language. I have a certification to teach Spanish and English, and I have a Bachelor's degree in Spanish and a Master's degree in Spanish Applied Linguistics.

In my tutoring sessions, I tend to work with students on improving their speaking and writing ability, with vocabulary retention, exam preparation, and grammar explanations. I also address any other specific needs the student has in regards to his/her classwork or learning situation. I have lived in and traveled to numerous Spanish-speaking countries, including Spain, Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia, and Guatemala, and I share my real-life knowledge of the different Hispanic cultures with my students. I enjoy working one-on-one with students and sharing my love of the Spanish language with them.
