I am a certified Spanish teacher for K-12 and am fluent in Spanish and Hebrew. I have completed all the requirements for a B.A. in Spanish at Northeastern Illinois University. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have studied Hebrew for more than 40 years in various venues ranging from Hebrew School, Hebrew High School, the four-year Yeshiva High School in Skokie, post-high school Jewish studies for three years with Machon Hamatmid, Israeli Ulpan at Hebrew University, law school in Israel and seven years' residence in Israel. I am also an autodidact, continuously involved in teaching myself more of the language by engaging in reading Israeli literature and periodicals and a variety of Jewish sources.
