About Samer

Hello, everyone! I'm starting medical school next year, and have been tutoring students in various subjects since I was in high school. Over five years, I have tutored many students in test prep such as the ACT and SAT, as well as in other classes such as AP Chemistry and AP Calculus. I have also tutored students in middle school and have demonstrated an excellent capacity to motivate students and show them that they are able to excel. Tutoring is an excellent experience because I am able to be a part of the transformation that students take; students usually come to me discouraged and without self esteem, but finish brimming with self confidence and excelling in their academics.

To give a little more information about myself, I am a part of a guaranteed medical school admissions program at the University of Illinois, and graduated with Highest Distinction in Biochemistry with a 3.85 GPA. I am considering attending many Ivy League medical schools after attending them for interviews, and enjoy reading and playing soccer in my free time. I look forward to building a relationship with you!

I earned a 35 on my Math ACT section, earned an 800 on my SAT Math Level II test, and have taken up to Calculus III in college, earning all A's in my math classes since high school and through college. In addition, I took Statistics in College, earning among the highest grades in the class.

The science section on the ACT is basically an examination of how well students can learn to read scientific passages for information, and my training is perfectly suited for that. I served as the Editor in Chief for a major undergraduate scientific publication during college, and conducted research in Immunology and Microbiology for two years, and published a scientific paper in a major virology journal. I have trained students in ACT science such that they increase ten points, and have many tricks and methods to improve scores.

I scored a 36 on my ACT Reading test by incorporating strategies that helped me jump from scoring a 27 on my ACT Reading test. I have used these strategies with many students, and it has worked wonders for many students in the past. The skills I instruct help students in reading comprehension that will benefit them for the rest of their lives, including for future standardized tests such as the MCAT, LSAT, and GRE.

Please feel free to reach out to me regarding any questions! I am here to help!

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
