Hi, I'm Khadijah!
I majored in Theatre Arts and English and have a minor in Creative Writing. I also partook in English, French and German classes. During a trip abroad to Europe, whilst practicing new language skills, I discovered that I had a passion for languages. The ability to transcend beyond language, culture, and social barriers has both inspired and fascinated me. Over the years I have sought to understand how people learn languages, and about the many different methodologies that we can utilize to learn to speak, read, write and understand language. Each language itself is a unique and beautiful form of communication, as is each individual, and thus each individual must have an approach to learning which is tailored to his or her constitution.

I have over one year of ESL tutoring experience abroad as well as online ESL tutoring experience using reading materials, free conversation, immersive teaching strategies, along with other methodologies that I have found to be effective in students around the globe. I am TESOL certified and have over one year of volunteering experience with 4th and 5th grade children abroad. I have over one year of experience assisting special needs children with communication and locomotive disorders. Additionally, I have over 3 years of experience in holding online webinars and in person seminars presenting the groundbreaking research that has been done on mindfulness in higher education, and the workplace. I have spent over 4 years studying this field of research and have thoroughly enjoyed assisting students of all ages in implementing the findings of this research in order to achieve fulfillment in their personal and professional lives.

It is my belief that both the student and teacher both learn from each other, and with each student that is led to success the teacher evolves as an instructor. I travel often for my work as I work for a non-profit organizations, so please contact me about specific time slots and I will try and match my availability to yours.
