I am a native Mandarin and Cantonese speaker. I grew up in China till age 16, and moved to United States since then. Therefore, my English is also at proficient level. I did elementary, junior high and partial high school in China, and finished high school, undergraduate and graduate education in the United States.
I have tutored math and Mandarin in both United States and China in the past for several years, and my past tutees vary from elementary students to adults, ranging from age 7 to 50. Therefore, I have the experience of customizing lessons for various age groups.
I currently work for a consulting company, which helps me develop skills for explaining projects/products to clients. I will be able to convey that into tutoring.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
