I received my Bachelor's Degree in English and Art History with Honors from Valparaiso University in 2017. I am a member of Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honors Society. I also completed a Master's Degree in Art History in 2019. During graduate school, I won the Distinguished Thesis Award from my graduate college for my master's thesis. I also won a research grant and presented my master's thesis at professional conferences. I worked as a writing tutor from 2016-2017, and I returned to tutoring as an English and test prep tutor in January 2020, specializing in SAT R/W, ACT E/R, College Essays, and AP Language. I have helped over 100 students improve their SATs and ACTs to their goal scores through individualized practice focused on building foundational skills in reading and writing and practicing strategies specific to each test. I have also worked with 30+ students on college essays for a wide range of majors and universities. I enjoy tutoring so much that I decided to pursue Education as a career, and I am currently working on becoming a fully licensed English teacher in Northern Illinois.
