I have been teaching in the same Chicago suburb district for over 14 years. I've taught grades 1-4. I have been teaching ELL students for about 5 years. Prior to teaching, I've worked over 7 years in the Rockford school district working with elementary and high school students.

I have lot's of experience in tutoring. I was a tutor for Sullivan's Tutoring and A-Z Tutoring offered through my school district in an after school program. My tutoring skills focused on reading and math. I also have my own tutoring company. I created a Summer Tutoring program focusing on reading, writing, and math skills that was very successful. I also tutored 2 students in Reading during a summer as a practium course in pursuing my Reading Specialist Masters Degree. I enjoy tutoring because you work with students one on one and can focus on their individual needs.

I am an outstanding math teacher and tutor. I am very knowledgeable with the common core standards in math. I am very flexible and understandable when it comes to the skills that my students need to be successful in math.

I have a variety of materials and resources for teaching math. I am also a hands-on teacher who understand that when it comes to teaching math, I have to focus on the individual needs of the students way of learning and teach him/her according to that way.

I am an outstanding reading teacher and tutor. I am 2 courses from completing my Masters Degree as a Reading Specialist. My Masters program has taught me the skills to be a better reading teacher.

I love teaching reading and working with struggling readers. I am very successful in helping students become better readers. I teach students many strategies to use when it comes to reading and the importance of using the strategies throughout their education.
