About David

Hello,

I have a passion for education. I have a Bachelor of Art's degree in Foreign Languages. I have a Minor in Math/Computer Science and the equivalent of a Minor in English. I have started working on my Master's degree in English.

I currently teach GED classes through Rock Valley College. I truly enjoy this as I get to teach a variety of subjects. My favorite subject is actually math. I know that math is usually the most difficult subject for students. However, I am equally happy to tutor in all of the general high school subjects. I can also help prepare them for the ACT or the SAT.

I have been teaching GED with Rock Valley College for six years now. I have been tutoring for eight years.
I intend to dedicate the rest of my working career in helping students develop a passion for learning. Knowledge is power.

Please contact me for an interview to see if I am a good fit for you or your child.

I provide discounts if we have sessions in my office near Alpine and Harrison or if you live in Belvidere. I also provide group discounts.

Sincerely,
David

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Calculus

I took Calculus I, II, and III in college while using it during Physics classes.

He worked great with helping my daughter

He was very helpful in getting my daughter to understand and be able to work out her physics. Her confidence had a tremendous boost. She enjoys doing her homework now.
