Electrical Engineering

I am interested in a tutoring in the areas mathematics, physical science, electronics and/or engineering (or any combination of these areas). I’m currently doing consulting work and adjunct teaching for several companies and schools in the Rockford Illinois area. I have both a BS and MS in electrical engineering and I am a registered professional engineer in Illinois. I also have industrial training, college teaching, and technical writing experience. In addition I have many years of practical experience in the application, development, and field support of electrical/electronic controls for industrial, aerospace, and automotive applications. I have taught both mathematics and electronics courses at Rock Valley College and mathematics courses at Upper Iowa University, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Rasmussen College, and Ellis College. Courses include: ‘DC/AC Networks’, ‘Electronic Devices & Circuits’, ‘Electrical Controls’, ‘Technical Math’, College Algebra, College Trigonometry, Beginning Algebra, and Foundations in Math. I’ve done industrial technical training for Sundstrand, Barber Colman, and others. I’ve written a technical book published by McGraw-Hill entitled “Solenoid Control, Testing, and Servicing”. This is a technical handbook for designers and users of solenoids and solenoid based products (such as electric valves, clutches, brakes, relays, contactors, etc).
