About Angela

I entered the field of education because of my love of learning and my desire to share my knowledge with others. I stayed in education because of the great satisfaction I get from seeing students succeed academically and interpersonally. I strive to make a difference every day in the way I teach, but more importantly, in the way I talk with students and help them see the "big picture." I take great joy in sharing life lessons and taking full advantage of all teachable moments. I am very proud to be an educator and can't imagine doing anything else.

I have a variety of materials to increase your proficiency with ACT and SAT Test, specifically with English, Reading, and Writing. I also have plenty of test-taking strategies to help you with anxiety and pacing.

If you want to improve your grades and build your skills in English, reading, writing, or public speaking, I am the tutor for you.

I am available after school during the week, on weekends, and over winter break, spring break, & the summer. Don't wait to get the help you need...I'm right here!

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I can help you prepare for the ACT Test, specifically with English. I have taught English for over 20 years as a middle and high school teacher and would enjoying assisting you in meeting your academic goals.

For ACT English, we will review common grammar rules in context with the test format and practice ACT-style English questions together for explanations and complete understanding of right and wrong answers.

I can also teach you some easy memory tricks and test taking strategies to increase your ACT English score and grammar proficiency.

I can help you prepare for the ACT Test, specifically with Reading. I have taught English for over 23 years as a high school teacher and would enjoying assisting you in meeting your academic goals.

I have been teaching English at the secondary level for over 20 yrs. My experience is extensive regarding college preparation in English, AP English, research, composition, outlining, literary analysis, etc.

Helping students overcome their stage fright to develop effective oral communication skills is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my professional experience.
