Based on a firm business teaching foundation of more that 25 years, I have acquired knowledge and skills that transfer well to those who desire to be successful in the areas of comprehension, reading, writing, vocabulary, proofreading and written/oral communication. Students ranging in education from middle school through adulthood represent my desired population.

My available resources will assist me in pinpointing your present level of mastery and together we can map out incremental...

Teaching students career development in areas of Career Internship and Interrelated Careers (which is a work program course for Juniors and Seniors) has been part of my teaching assignments for the past seven years. My responsibility as a classroom teacher was to instruct students in the preparation of resumes, applications, cover letters, interviewing techniques and becoming familiar with employer/mentor evaluations. Students were taught about proper work ethics, dressing appropriately, identifying personal and work values, interpersonal skills on the job, conflict resolution techniques and how to work through issues.

My teaching experience in desktop publishing included three types of applications: QuarkXPress (4 years); Microsoft Word (7 years); and Adobe InDesign (4 years). All applications were courses taught at the high school level where I taught business courses for 14 years. The usual method of instruction included and began by discussing the purpose of of the document, general explanation of skills to be used while viewing the finished product, step-by- step teacher demonstration alternating with student repeating each step hands-on.
