I am a recent graduate of the University of Illinois at Champaign Urbana with a degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences. I am extremely passionate about this subject and always go above and beyond to discuss the importance for caring for environment. I am currently an intern for Clarke which deals with controlling mosquito populations to help curb their impact on humans. I have worked on numerous projects involving sustainability and natural resources and presented them at a high level to my superiors. I have always been told that I am passionate about my area and that will be evident when I am tutoring.
I have taken multiple courses in ecology, biology, and botany and am very knowledge in these areas. I have always been enthusiastic when it comes to teaching subjects I am passionate and that is evident in some of the positions I have held. I have given private tennis lessons as well was a Study Abroad Ambassador. This position required me to interact with students of all backgrounds and answer and explain any questions or concerns they may have in regards to studying abroad.
I have always had a strong passion for astronomy and have gained a lot of knowledge over the years from taking courses as well as from my own research. In regards to Ecology and Botany, I have always enjoyed learning about subjects. I have completed multiple projects as well as taken classes where I was required to be able to identify over 200 species of native trees and plants in Illinois. I am very excited to pass this knowledge onto the students that I tutor.
I have always wanted to be a teacher. Passing on my knowledge to someone else and seeing them understand and enjoy what they learning is an incredible feeling. I've seen it from giving tennis lessons as well as during my time as a Study Abroad Ambassador. I will continue this passion as a tutor and look forward to increasing the knowledge base of my students.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
