My name is Elana. I’m currently a theatre education major at ISU and I love helping kids learn and succeed. I have helped my own little brother learn to read as well as many other kids at our community theatre. I tutored a friend of mine in English and history my junior year of high school and found that to be a very rewarding experience.

As it says in my bio, I have lots of experience helping children learn how to read because I am a lover of the written word. I got a 35 in reading on my ACT and I’d be happy to help you try to work towards that. I love reading and literature has always been one of my favorite core subjects. My mother’s parents and my father were all English teachers and I learned a lot from them. I was in honors English all four years of high school where I gained lots of experience proof reading papers for my peers. I am also a long time actor which gives me a plethora of experience in public speaking so I am always equipped with tips and pointers to help you out.
