As a world traveler, I understand the challenges of communicating in a language that is not your first language. I have a passion to help adult learners enhance their speaking, writing, listening, and speaking abilities through task-based learning. I believe that adult learners learn best through understanding the mechanisms that are causing their communication difficulties and then practicing correct behaviors. I am also willing to design and implement teaching strategies that are specific to the learners goals and objectives.

I have taught English as a Foreign language in the areas of speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Thailand and in China at the university level and tutored students for the vocabulary, reading, and listening sections for the TEOFL and the vocabulary for the SAT. I have also tutored high school writing and conversational English. My personal education has focused on linguistics for my undergraduate degree at Illinois State University, and for my master's degree at Payap University in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Through my education and experience I have learned how to pinpoint and effectively help students enhance their English abilities.
