I have over fifteen years of experience tutoring to high school, college, and graduate students. My specialty lies in tutoring mathematics in several areas such as calculus, elementary/abstract algebra, linear algebra, differential equations, real/complex analysis, and topology. In my experience, I've found that students learn mathematics most efficiently through conceptual-based learning and active engagement in problem solving. Because of this, I will teach you problem solving strategies and help you improve mathematical proficiency through challenging problems. I will also help you build mathematical intuition needed to break down difficult concepts.

I give both individual and group sessions. I am usually available in the mornings and afternoons, but I'm flexible with students. My sessions are of two types; one for assigned work (homework, tests, etc.) and one centered on problem solving techniques and methods of proof. I assign problems once a week, to give you more practice with what you've learned. I have a 24-hour cancellation policy, but I offer makeup sessions.

I look forward to hearing from you! I'll help you succeed in your studies!

Best college math tutor!

Eugene is simply put, amazing. He was extremely patient during our tutoring sessions and was always willing to break down concepts I didn't understand. Proofs that I had been looking at for hours were simplified within 15 minutes. Even if I didn't fully grasp a proof the first or second time, Eugene had no problem going through it again step-by-step with me. He always let me explain my train of thought before diving into a problem and then would either build off what I already had or would steer me in the right direction. I don't think I would have passed my class if it weren't for his math expertise.

He knows his mathematical material. “ senior level maths”

I have had a very difficult time with Topology. He helped knock out HW and gave clarity and meaningful context. Very easy to talk to and really lighten up the mood with his personality. Do not doubt his mathematical knowledge it is superior. Topology is not an easy course, but he apply his mathematical skills beautifully! I would highly encourage anyone taking absolutely any undergraduate mathematics course to set up a lesson with Eugene. He is worth more than you’ll ever get to pay him or thank him for!

Wonderfully knowledgeable tutor

Eugene is an excellent and thorough tutor! He has helped me numerous times with proof-based and computational linear algebra work. Because of him, I am able to understand the steps to dissect and solve problems with utmost clarity. Whenever I have questions, he is very patient and succinct with his responses. I always feel very confident with my homework and studying when I'm finished with the lesson. I would highly recommend Eugene!!

Best tutor out there, highly recommend!

If you are like me, who has struggled with a variety of college level engineering courses from calculus to dynamics and everything in between, then Eugene is the tutor for you. He has been able to help me in every subject that I have thrown at him without any problems at all. When I first began meeting with him I was extremely behind in just about all of my courses and on the verge of flunking out of my university’s Engineering program. After just a few sessions with Eugene I had gained more knowledge than I had from any of my college professors. Before meeting with Eugene, I would spend up to an hour on a single problem. Now I am able to solve the same types of problems in no time! He is the most caring, patient and knowledgeable guy I have ever met. I was baffled by the amount of information he provided me with and how easy he was able to convey such complicated topics that my professors could not. He was able to break down and explain everything that I thought I was incapable of comprehending. Eugene has provided me with the confidence and knowledge to get through some of the toughest courses out there. Had I not had his help, I would not be continuing to pursue my degree in Civil Engineering. I would highly recommend him for anyone struggling in any topic at any level. He is a true genius! I cannot thank Eugene enough for all his help getting me through such difficult courses!

Hands down the best Calculus tutor!!!!!

After struggling with many different Calc concepts, Eugene broke them down, simplified them, and taught them to me with ease. If you are struggling with any level of math, then I highly recommend scheduling a session with Eugene. He is very patient and makes the subject much more enjoyable. Eugene is the BEST and without a doubt teaches better than any textbook out there!!!!!

Guys no cap, Eugene is the best tutor!!

I had questions in linear algebra I wanted help with, and Eugene really helped me understand all the concepts. When I got stuck on something he was so patient and never rushing, and always stops when you have a question and makes sure you understand the material. He has such an in-depth knowledge of linear algebra that when I asked a question he could explain it to me visually through graphs, mathematically through equations, and he has a really strong foundation in dot product and vectors and literally everything you could think of in linear algebra!! Eugene I appreciate you my man, will definitely be seeing more of you in future lessons. ~ Omar

Extremely Knowledgeable and Reliable

I have had ~6-7 lessons with Eugene the past month, and cannot be more satisfied with our work. He has been crucial in helping me dissect and fully comprehend practice problems and examination reviews. I highly recommend Eugene for any student studying Linear Algebra because he is willing and able to meticulously walk through every step until full comprehension is achieved. And.. with great wit, will then respond saying, "I gotchu".

Very helpful lesson!

Eugene helped me work through some problems for a proof based linear algebra class. His explanations were extremely clear and very thorough. We were able to cover much more than I expected in one hour, and I feel more confident in tackling questions for my exam. I would definitely recommend Eugene!
