Hello students and their families,
I graduated at NIU in 2007 with my certification in Special Education. The past 4 years I worked as a substitute teacher in Naperville, Aurora, and Bolingbrook. This year I filled in for a Supported Education teacher and provided accommondations and modifications for students in 3rd-4th grade. I have worked with several staff members providing assistance with general education students that were struggling with math as well.
In addition to that I lead reading intervention groups and provided assistance with a student on occassion afterschool. I believe in a token incentive approach to motivate students as well as provide thaem with a sense of accomplishment. I am looking forward in meeting with you if you have any more questions.

For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
