University of Illinois at Chicago (Biological Sciences)
I graduated from High School in 2010 and got my bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from University of Illinois in 2014. I am currently taking a gap year before starting Dental School in Fall 2016.
I have been tutoring various topics on both high school and college levels for the past six years. While studying in University of Illinois, I was selected by the Honors College, as well as the National Honors Society, to tutor topics such as math, chemistry (general and organic), biology and psychology. I specialize in tutoring math and chemistry on all levels including ACT, SAT, DAT, GRE, etc. Years of experience in tutoring has allowed me to master these topics which helped me rank higher than 98% of students on the math, chemistry and biology portions of the Dental Admissions Test in 2015.
I understand that each student has a different technique of learning and for that reason, I always ask for feedback and make sure to modify my approach to best fit the student’s needs. I strongly believe that only when facing a challenge does one realize his or her true potential. As a result, I assign challenging assignments at the end of each session and provide students with progress reports.
In addition to English, I am fluent in Assyrian and Farsi so if you would be more comfortable speaking any of these languages instead of English, that is definitely an option.
I look forward to working with you! I graduated from High School in 2010 and got my bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from University of Illinois in 2014. I am currently taking a gap year before starting Dental School in Fall 2016.

Very patient with my son and really helped him with his chemistry. We will be using him again. Thanks Paldin!
Super helpful and patient. Knows his subjects and is able to explain concepts in a level that my daughter can understand. She has improved so much since starting with Paldin!
Paldin has been great. Very flexible and prompt. Our son says he has definitely helped him with his Advanced Geometry and also with organization skills to be better prepared for his other classes.
My daughter is getting more confident in preparing for the ACT. Paldin is so patient and he explains everything in detail for her. He is by far one of the best tutors we've had so far.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have tutored geometry for over 5 years and have worked with plenty of high school and middle school students over the years.
