I have been a teacher for the past 33 years - I love teaching! I have a Master's Degree in Education, and am certified to teach English as a Second Language for high school students, Elementary education for grades K - 8 and Special Education for grades K - 12. I have experience teaching elementary students through seniors in high school as a special educator and team teacher, as well as having experience as an English as a Second Language teacher. I treat each student with care and respect and am able to help students to be successful.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
