I am a patient teacher, tutor or academic coach who enjoys working with young people. It's important that students feel comfortable, are open to asking questions and are encouraged to do well.

As a multi-disciplinary teacher, I have a broad background in education and experience.

I have been published in two journals and enjoy tutoring students in grammar, reading and writing. I have also worked as a legal secretary.

I am highly qualified in all the sciences and math. My undergraduate degree is in chemistry with a minor in mathematics. I have been exposed to discrete and logical thinking. As a professional high school teacher, I have been successful in raising PSAE test scores. Professional experience includes teaches physics at a community college. I have worked with upper level and advanced students teaching trig based physics which uses geometry and algebra.

Working in industry has given me a results based philosophy as well as real world experience using math on the job from running regression analysis after heat degradation tests to using graphs and tables or figuring the range of error.

As a certified teacher, I am familiar with the various tests that are out there. For example, I am aware that the ASVAB test does not allow time for using a calculator. Therefore, it is important to understand the mathematical relationships so unrealistic answers can be eliminated.

Great session

My child had first online session w/ Patty. She is quite skilled. My child said she did a great job of breaking down the AP Physics concepts. We look forward to working with her again.

Excellent Teacher!

Patty helped my daughter understand the Work-Energy Theorem and how to apply it to different situations. She explained concepts several different ways if one way didn't work for her. My daughter says she that after a session with Patty she has more confidence in her physics class.

Reassuring and expert physics tutor!

I am so happy we found Patty! She has given my daughter the self-efficacy and the content knowledge she needs to push ahead in physics. Thank you Patty and we look forward to our partnership this year in physics!

Patty is an AWESOME tutor!!!!

Patty is an extremely patient person! not only is she patient, but she is well qualified to do what she does. My daughter really likes Patty and she says that Ms. Patty has a way of making her understand things in a much clearer and concise way. I hired Patty for SAT prep, but she is someone I plan to keep using because she is a wealth of information in so many different areas. Patty is well rounded and has knowledge about various school subjects. There is no way I'm going to let her get away after this test prep, I have to keep someone this knowledgeable very close, like right in my hip pocket. It has been a JOY working with Patty. After only two weeks, I saw a difference in my child's ability to attack those SAT problems! with college chemistry on the way, we just look forward to even more success stories with Patty. Patty was the right choice for us, I'm sure she will make a difference in your child's academic progress as well.
