I am a patient teacher, tutor or academic coach who enjoys working with young people. It's important that students feel comfortable, are open to asking questions and are encouraged to do well.

As a multi-disciplinary teacher, I have a broad background in education and experience.

I am highly qualified in all the sciences and math. My undergraduate degree is in chemistry with a minor in mathematics. I have been exposed to discrete and logical thinking. As a professional high school...

As a multi-disciplinary teacher, I have a broad background in education and experience.

I am highly qualified in all the sciences and math. My undergraduate degree is in chemistry with a minor in mathematics. I have been exposed to discrete and logical thinking. As a professional high school teacher, I have been successful in raising PSAE test scores. Professional experience also includes teaching physics at a community college. I have worked with upper level and advanced students teaching trig based physics which uses geometry and algebra.

I have been published in two journals and enjoy tutoring students in grammar, reading and writing. I have also worked as a legal secretary.

Working in industry has given me a results based philosophy as well as real world experience using math on the job from running regression analysis after heat degradation tests to using graphs and tables or figuring the range of error.

As a certified teacher, I am familiar with the various tests that are out there. For example, I am aware that the ASVAB test does not allow calculator use. Therefore, it is important to understand the mathematical relationships so unrealistic answers can be eliminated.

Patty is great! She has been very helpful in keeping my daughter current in her Physics class during a time when she is unable to attend her normal classes. She is patient, an expert in her field, open to tutoring in other areas as well, and super accommodating.

Patty and AJ worked on ACT prep which he is preparing to take in April. We discussed the plan and how she plane so assist AJ with increasing his score. I AJ followed the directions given by the tutor he should have no problem doing so.
