Northern Illinois University (Biology)
I am currently an undergraduate Biology major attending Northern University. I am both an honors student and a part of the biological honor society for the university. I'm well versed in basic Chemistry, Biology, as well as math working up towards most calculus. I will be continuing my education post Bachelor's degree in order to pursue my doctors in physical therapy.
Having multiple siblings, I've learned how to teach and support in any of their homework tutoring needs. Additionally, one of my siblings is mentally challenged. Because of my younger brothers disabilities I have developed the innate ability to work very well with younger children, additionally I have learned to exercise patience and a calm demeanor regardless of the problem or situation.
Having completed all levels of algebra, college algebra, calculus, etc. I have expanded over many different levels of mathematics and feel very confident in teaching these topics to children younger than myself.
Majoring in biology, I've had the chance to see how biology works first hand. However, my experience in Chemistry is much more abundant, working through several classes along with the labs required, giving me the insight into what it means to work first hand in the field of chemistry.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
