“**Fantastic and brilliant tutor**”

I have a Master's degree in Mathematics with Distinction from Oxford University and a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics with Distinction from the University of Illinois at Chicago. I do math and physics tutoring, standardized test prep, and also have expertise in MATLAB, mathematical modeling, and data analysis. I've been tutoring students in math

*On weekdays, I tutor in the Lombard and Villa Park areas. On Saturdays, I tutor in Lombard, Villa Park, and the north side of Chicago. On Sundays, I tutor only on the north side of Chicago.*

My daughter was struggling in AP Physics C (Mechanics) because she hadn't taken Calculus the year before like the majority of her classmates. We sought out Junaid's help based on his background in both Physics C and Calculus BC, and he turned out to be a great tutor for her. Junaid's background is quite impressive. Even more impressive is his ability to make complex material digestible to a high school senior -- he has a gift for teaching. His teaching style resonates with my daughter's learning needs -- he explains the concepts first, reviews the material, and then checks for understanding. She comes home from her tutoring sessions with a one-page summary of notes for reference. The proof that she understands the material is in her grades. Highly, highly recommend!

Junaid is a true teacher. Not only does he know the subject matter (physics and math) but he has a way of imparting his knowledge and teaching you how to properly approach the problem. He is soft spoken but a highly effective communicator. Upon arriving he gets right to work and makes a lot of progress in a short amount of time.

Highly recommended!

As someone who has been away from Mathematics for almost 20 years I was intimidated by my grad school course(s). Junaid was not only able to break down the problems but also gave me a deeper understanding and an appreciation for the material. His love of math is contagious.

Junaid was very helpful in tutoring MATLAB for my daughter. He is very knowledgeable and ensured, my daughter understand the logic and the subject very well and get to the comfort level. I recommend Junaid for a quick and great start for any MATLAB related issues from simple to complex.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have taken advanced courses in Calculus in college. I have taught AP Calculus AB for two years. I really love teaching Calculus.

I have a Master's Degree in Mathematical Modeling and Scientific Computing from Oxford University. I have been programming since I was a kid. I am experienced with Java and C. I am most well versed in MATLAB programming. I've taken a class in introductory C at Oxford. More importantly, I have a great deal of programming experience, especially in the area of algorithms and mathematical computer science. I am active on Project Euler and am currently in the top 3% of the programmers on this competitive programming site. You can check out Project Euler at https://projecteuler.net/

I want to get qualified in Computer Science on WyzAnt mainly to help students who need help in advanced MCS (Mathematical Computer Science) programming classes where they need to write complex algorithms. I would also love to help programmers who are taking their early steps on Project Euler and need mentorship to move forward in the various problems they have. Thanks!

I took Math 220 at UIC and got an A in it. This is the intro DiffEQ class. I also took Math 480 and 481 at UIC and got A's in them. These are the more advanced DiffEq classes which include PDEs (Partial Differential Equations). I also took many graduate level DiffEq related classes at Oxford. I have tutored in this subject through the years as well.

I took Math 215 at UIC which is very similar in content to Discrete Math. It is more of a theoretical version of Discrete Math which is more heavy on proofs. I did so well that I was asked by the Dept Head at UIC to be the TA for the class which I did for two semesters. I am very familiar with the concepts in Discrete Math. I recently tutored a student (John) from WyzAnt on Discrete Math and it went very well and he wrote a great review.

Finite Math overlaps significantly with Discrete Math. If anything, it is usually a less rigorous version of Discrete Math for social science and business students. I am very familiar with the content and had no trouble tutoring students in Finite Math at UIC. have a Master's Degree in Mathematics with Distinction from Oxford University and a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics with Distinction from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

I took Math 320 at UIC and got an A in it. This is the theoretical Linear Algebra class for math majors. I also took a graduate level Numerical Linear Algebra class in Oxford. I have tutored in this subject through the years as well.

I have a Masters Degree in Mathematical Modeling and Scientific Computing with Distinction from Oxford University. I used MATLAB throughout my graduate studies and most of my Masters thesis was done with MATLAB. Since then, for the past twelve years I have used MATLAB for various research projects relating generally to mathematical modeling within the field of medicine. I am experienced not only with basic functions within MATLAB but also more advanced functions as well as writing software in MATLAB. I worked for a trading firm in downtown Chicago for two years writing algorithms in MATLAB. Finally, I am currently tutoring a PhD student at Northwestern University in MATLAB. We are going through introductory books at the moment and eventually plan on moving onto more advanced MATLAB books. He is really enjoying my teaching and wants to work with me long term.
