Hi Parents, Students, Friends, or Family Members!
My name is Matt and I have been in education since 2007. I started out as a substitute teacher, worked as a special education classroom aide from 2008-2010, and obtained my Master's degree in School Counseling from Saint Xavier University in 2011 with honors, Kappa Delta Pi. I then worked as a school counselor for the last five years and am currently employed as a career counselor with an autism foundation.
Over my years as an educator, I developed a great deal of experience and knowledge teaching students study strategies, college and career planning, Executive Functioning, and job application, search, and interviewing strategies. As I recently finished the remaining classes to become a mental health counselor, I have additional training in social-emotional counseling and behavior modification. I am looking to obtain my endorsement as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor within the next year after testing. I am strongly adept and interested in tutoring Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1+2, and Geometry; Physics; Psychology and Counseling; Microsoft Office; Fixing and repairing computers/electronics; Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator; Graphic Design; and can teach anyone to play softball, baseball and/or volleyball sports.
I have flexible hours and will be willing to work around you and your child's schedules. Please contact me with times and subjects you are interested in having me tutor. I will gladly get back to you as soon as possible to schedule a phone call identifying your child's needs.
I look forward to hearing from you and improving your child's academic performance!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have worked with Autism students for over 7 years now through my job as a school counselor in special education and special education paraprofessional. I have experience with behavioral modification and sensory management.
