I have been a Substitute Teacher for 10 years. I also have a Library Technical Assistant Certification. I have taught babies to 8th grade. I love children, teaching them, and watching them get excited about learning! I can teach all subjects for ages K-6. I enjoy working with primary age children. The best thing is to see them learn and know something new and feel confident. I am very friendly and most all kids seem to like me. I will teach them to the best ability and make sure they know the work before going on to the next problem. I will do a progress report so you know you are getting what you want for your child, and that I am helping you to achieve their goal. I have a flexible schedule. I am flexible with where we will do the tutoring, your home, library, my home, phone, and email. I can also work with you child during the summer months. I am qualified to tutor most general subjects.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have lead small bible groups. I can help someone with basic bible study lessons, activities, arts and crafts and song. I can assist a child with their bible study homework too.
I have been a licensed Cosmetologist for over 15 years now. I worked in Hair Salons until I had children. Then I worked out of my home and still do. I kept up with modern techniques and schooling to renew my license. One has to be creative to work in this field and not be afraid to try different cuts and colors and also make it fun. One thing that is great is this job will always be available and one can work for someone or themselves.

The English language is one of the hardest to learn. There are so many words starting with a letters that are silent, this is where phonics comes in. I worked with students in primary grades and taught them the proper phonetics of phonics, how to sound out letter sounds and put them together to say the words properly, and use techniques and put them to use. I have been a Substitute Teacher for 10 years and am also certified as a Library Technical Assistant.
I am experienced at public speaking. I have been in a classroom substitute teaching for about 10 years. I was always involved in school programs, running a committee and on PTA. To do these tasks one has to be articulate at speaking. I enjoy speaking in front of a small group as well as a large group.
I have been a Substitute Teacher for about 10 years, from babies to Jr. High. I have worked with children that have special needs. I know that each child works at their own ability, and I will provide a curriculum that is best for the student. I taught students with ADD, learning disabilities, autism and cerebral palsy. Each Special needs child needs their own individual curriculum and goals. I have worked with doing IEP reports to aide them in their own individual plan. I have worked as a Teacher's Aide on one to one with special needs children. I know there are physical things they need to be helped with as well. I will provide the best care and curriculum especially designed for your child.
It takes hard work, organizational skills and structure to develop proper study skills. Once the skills are used and put together, studying will get easier and then becomes a regular habit. Study habits are one of the most important things to have to be a better student. Study skills will turn into study habits and should be enforced at a very young age. Organization is very important to have good study skills. I can teach your child how to get into a habit of when and how to study. I will show them how to organize each subject with using individual folders. Each student is an individual, what works for one may not work for the other. I will show the student how to study based on their individual needs. I also have a few other tips, they should drink water before doing an assignment or taking a test, this helps stimulate the brain when studying.
