While earning an M.Ed. at DePaul University, I tutored second-grade to high school students in Reading, Writing, Spelling and Math at DePaul's Reading and Learning Lab. Moreover, I worked full time at a District School as a Special Ed. T.A. I taught academia across the board to native Spanish-speaking second- and third-grade English Language Learners. These children wowed me with their intelligence and continued perseverance to become fluent in the English Language. I so respected their genuine efforts and dedication to learn and excel.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
