I graduated from Yale University in 2019 with a focus in English literature and writing. Throughout my time there, it was the teachers that made the biggest impact on me, and I want to pass on the favor to other kids, especially when it comes to learning to analyze literature and learning how to write a good essay! I have 5+ years of tutoring experience, and have tutored kids from 3rd grade through junior year in high school, also as part of National Honors Society, so I'm very flexible with age and subject matter. For younger kids, I want to help teach them methods of how to learn the material independently, and what methods of problem solving makes the most sense to them. This applies no matter what age you are: I want to help provide support to help you understand the material and have it make sense to you, which is what my favorite teachers did for me. I also scored highly on the ACT and SAT, and am happy to help with test prep or college essay edits - I know from experience that trying to package yourself in a college essay application can be a trying process and want to make it as seamless as possible!

I love to read, and I love to write: I will help you break down whatever English comprehension or writing assignment you may have, and discuss it with you to help you tackle it from your own unique point of view. English and literature are all about learning to find and access your own unique viewpoint on a certain story: once you get the grammatical nuances out of the way, it's all about finding your voice, and making sure that idea is supported by the text. From there, we just need to make sure all these ideas are formatted into an essay properly! I want English and literature to be something you have a strong opinion about, whether good or bad, because passion is what drives this subject.

I took Spanish from eighth grade through freshman year of college. I can help you with any high school Spanish course, as well as prepping for the AP Spanish Language exam. The course I took freshman year of colleg
