I have been a teacher for three years. I taught third grade my first year in a Dual Language classroom. For the past two years I have been a bilingual teacher with kindergarten, first and second grade students. I speak both Spanish and English. Additionally, I have tutored many different students in many different subjects. In the past I have tutored for Math and English at the elementary school level, middle school math, pre-algebra and Spanish in high school.
I enjoy tutoring students as an extension to what I do during the school day with my own students. Generally I am available from 9 AM-7 PM (during the summer), but will need to schedule the tutoring sessions in advance as I am taking some graduate courses over the summer.
My goal is help with your studies and encourage a love for learning!
I have personally taken honors courses through my high school education. I feel comfortable tutoring Prealgebra, Algebra 1 and Elementary Math (specifically grades K-2 because that is what I teach now).
I am fluent in Spanish and am a primary bilingual teacher. I have studied Spanish since 8th grade and have traveled to many Spanish speaking countries since I graduated from college.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am a third year teacher that implements Common Core standards in every lesson. In college, I studied the standards. Additionally, I was required to implement the standards in each lesson I taught during student teaching. Now, I also attend different professional developments to learn more about Common Core standards.
I am a bilingual teacher for kindergarten, first and second grade. My first year teaching I also taught in a third grade classroom. With that experience, I think I am well qualified for K-6 positions. Additionally, I have tutored students of various ages K-8.
