I'm Sri, and I have an extensive academic and professional background in computer engineering. As often happens in the industry, my introduction to software engineering, was not a sit-down, formal affair of the theoretical kind. It was a series of need-to-know, stack-overflow driven quests. An inverted path to formalization through a Masters in Computer Engineering gave me a unique perspective and advantage when it came to both - appreciating the difficulties a lot of newcomers face in the software engineering industry and mastering crucial concepts with a professional setting in mind.

Since then, the most fulfilling aspect of my career growth has been teaching. Some of the best teachers and mentors I have had the fortune to meet all share the same key capability - being able to explain the same concept passionately, on multiple levels, multiple times using myriad analogies. It is this philosophy of deep understanding that I cherish and embody when I tutor and mentor my colleagues and students.

I have 6+ years of industry experience designing, architecting and implementing multiple systems using all modern industry technologies including AWS Services (Lambda, S3, SNS/SQS, Fargate, ElastiCache, RDS and DynamoDB to name a few), Snowflake, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Neo4j, Golang and Ruby on Rails. These software systems written by me and my teams powers underwriting for a major FinTech company in Chicago, serving millions of customers and turning over a billion dollars every year. Apart from my professional tenure, my passion for conveying even the most advanced concepts in a multi-layered format so as to cement understanding at multiple levels is reflected in the style of the numerous presentations on databases and distributed systems that I have given at leading national and international conferences such as the International Conference on Data Engineering and PostgresOpen. Expert on AWS and great at explaining it

Sri quickly gave me a walkthrough on AWS, and how to use it safely. He got me to a stage where I knew what needed to be implemented for the project I'm working on and gave some resources on how I could implement it on my own. Anytime I got stuck, or had questions, he was kind enough to reply to them via wyzant. Absolutely worth it if you need help with anything regarding AWS.

Srivathsava was very helpful and patient. He was knowledgable about what I was doing and made sure that I understood everything and answered all my questions. He was especially patient in helping me find the bugs in my code and dissect what what causing any issues. He was very responsive in scheduling too which I really appreciated.

Great explanations, patience and positive energy!

Sri is extremely knowledgable, and was quickly able to assess and dissect the errors in my Rails app. He explained and recommended another approach, which worked very well and was much more efficient. He did all this within the one hour session. He taught me new techniques, and even hearing him thinking out loud was educational. I plan to continue doing more sessions with Sri. I recommend him highly!
