Through my experiences teaching multivariable calculus at Northwestern University, I honed my skills to explain abstract concepts like techniques of integration in several variables using architecture as motivation.
I continued to refine these while working as a Teaching Assistant for two math courses for a span of 5 years. This skill-set proved highly beneficial when I volunteered as a tutor for students with disabilities.
Being able to explain abstract concepts in multiple manners made difficult concepts easier to grasp for my students as I would appeal to their individual differences and strengths.
During my time as a Teaching Assistant at Northwestern, four students told me that they chose math as a major inspired in our sessions. One of my goals is to make sure students understand the applications of math concepts, for example by studying lottery, or the Maya's calendar.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I teach introduction to chess. While I was in high school at Mexico I used my free time to learn to play chess, my school didn't have a chess trainer so I learned by myself. I ended up representing my school at the national tournament and I won the third place.
I have been TA of linear algebra and calculus at Northwestern University. One time I was in charge of creating the weekly quizzes of linear algebra.
I tutored linear algebra to graduate students on the department of computer science and on the department of computational biology for their projects.
