Hello! My name is Annette. I have seven years of teaching experience, four of those were as a first grade teacher and the last three years I have been teaching elementary Spanish. As a classroom teacher, I taught all core subjects in both English and Spanish. I feel most comfortable working with students in grades K-5. My Spanish abilities are very proficient. I am a native Spanish speaker. I love teaching students Spanish and the importance of bilingualism. Working with children is fun and rewarding. I am a firm believer that learning should be fun, interactive and engaging!

Many of my students were struggling readers, therefore, I created many interventions catered to their specific literacy deficiencies.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
