My son has his confidence back

My son felt like he was so far behind he would not be able to catch up. He had basically given up on trying. After one session with Jeannie, he started to complete some missing assignments and is eager to meet again later this week so he can continue to catch up! Very pleased with how Jeannie worked through the process to figure out when he got lost and how his teacher is progressing so she could support him.

Jeannie is helping me brush up on my German before visiting family. After several weeks of working with her, I feel much more confident in my conversing and have learned fun things I wouldn't have otherwise learned about - such as German TV shows to watch :) Highly recommend working with Jeannie. Impressive German Tutor

When I arrived to meet Jeannie for our first lesson she introduced herself in English and we started out by just getting to know each other a little bit. I immediately felt comfortable with her because her confidence as a teacher and German speaker are immediately apparent. We then spent 30 minutes talking in German (although she did most the talking, as I am far worse at talking than I am at understanding). We spent some time charting the course for further lessons as well, and she asked me how I prefer to learn (do I like structured writing lessons, real life German content, etc.) I will be looking forward to our next lesson together, and so far I am very impressed!

Thorough, Inquisitive, and Fun!

Jeannie asks all of the right questions: What is your end goal? What would you like to work on specifically? Are there any interests that we can incorporate into your lessons? After leaving my first German lesson, I felt excited to review German grammar, a subject I had neglected for quite some time. Jeannie is very fun to talk to and is very skilled at correcting me when I have made a mistake.

Excellent tutor for our kids

Jeannie was such a help in preparing our kids for a return trip to Germany. She worked with each kid once a week for about three months. They had forgotten quite a bit since we moved back to the States a few years ago. Jeannie put together an excellent, well thought out lesson plan and always came prepared. My kids didn't always have "high energy" for their lessons but Jeannie didn't let that become an obstacle, always staying patient and working through anything. She had a nice mix of games, videos, and rote learning. All in all it was very well done. I fully recommend her to anyone looking to improve their German.

Jeannie is a great, high-energy teacher. The lessons are for my 8 year-old daughter, and Jeannie adjusts the lesson to make sure my daughter is staying focused and interested. I'm very impressed.
