I would be more than happy to assist you with your tutoring needs. I have an elementary education and special education certificate which is not expired. I taught in the public school system for seven years, primarily with special needs students. However, my expertise most lends itself to grades kindergarten through eighth grade. I have two small children and a family of my own. I have several nieces and nephews. I am surrounding by lovely children on a daily basis. I know how difficult schoolwork and tests can be for some students. Therefore, I am more than willing to help tutor anyone in need of extra support.
My personality in my own classroom was always "respect" first then, meaningful, FUN learning will always take place! What I mean by this is that one needs to feel comfortable before he/she can learn. Opening an effective line of communication and a compassion for learning together, promotes a structured learning environment. Myself and the person I am tutoring will focus on establishing a relationship first. Then, we will learn together. I love what I do, therefore I teach. I am enthusiastic and down to Earth with struggling students. They NEED to feel comfortable with their own learning. A good working relationship that fosters respect WILL make that happen. No matter how difficult or apprehensive one might be, I will try my VERY BEST to assist and guide him/her through their learning struggles. I love a challenging student. During my career as an educator, a teacher once said to me, "I don't know how you do it, I don't understand where you get the patience!" I have patience and understanding because if I don't, who will? I look forward to tutoring anyone in need.

I enjoy enhancing the curriculum and content taught to ensure the students better grasp and understand what they're learning. I use a variety of techniques while teaching others. I don't believe it is one way or the highway. We are all unique and learn differently. I foster that thought process. I promise you will not be disappointed with my expertise. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
