I have several years of private tutoring experience in multiple areas, including all levels of math, test preparation, chemistry, Spanish, and violin. I enjoy math and science as well as music and sports. During my student teaching, I prepared students to take the ACT and college math placement exam.
I also speak Spanish and Korean at an intermediate level. I have been playing the violin and singing for the last 15 years. I am a hard worker who always want the best for my students, and I am willing to go above and beyond to help you succeed. I'm more than happy to help you in any subject area, and I hope to hear from you soon!
Note: In order to cancel a session, a student is required to provide me with at least 5 hours notice. Otherwise, the student will be charged for the missed session. Hi!

Theresa tutors my 17 year old son. What started as an Algebra tutor has turned into Chemistry and general college counseling. Theresa is very smart and has taken the time to get to know my son. Her style is patient and caring. Her calming energy sets the tone for a safe environment to learn. Theresa is very reliable and flexible often moving her schedule around to accomodate for teenager's busy schedule. I would highly recommend her.
We hired Theresa to work with my son, a high school senior, on math and science in preparation for his ACT test. She was engaging, thoughtful in her approach, extremely well prepared, lively, focused, and able to assess and tune in right away to what my son needed. We were very pleased with her and with his results.
I have enjoyed working with Theresa. She is one of the more affordable tutors in the WyzAnt system offering a tremendous value and no fluff. She is very focused on math and science content. She is young and pleasant yet quite focused. She will help to hold your student accountable for their own progress and help them master the content required to be successful on the ACT. Excellent tutor.
Theresa is great with my 14 year old twin girls! She is patient but tough! She tutors them in math and reading comprehension and they actually look forward to her sessions. I'll take that kind of interaction any day!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have babysat children ranging from pre-k to 6th grade. During these times, I have taught them various activities and helped them with their homework. I have also been a camp counselor for children in kindergarten through 4th grade. As a teacher, I am familiar with multiple subject areas and am willing to tutor these subjects.
I look forward to hearing from you!
I have prior teaching and tutoring experience in helping students with study skills. With experience in honors and AP classes, I know multiple techniques and ways to help you memorize things. Personally, I have tried a lot of different ways to help me study, and I would like to help you do the same.
I have been playing violin for about 14 years and have also studied Suzuki. I have been in the district honors orchestra as well as the pit orchestra for the school musicals. I have played at weddings and various ceremonies. I have traveled to different schools and universities as well as countries like Germany, Austria, and Italy to perform. I am excited to teach those who share that joy of music. Please let me know how I can make violin fun and exciting for you!
I have been singing for the past 15 years. I have been a part of multiple choirs, in both church and school. I sang many types of music and in various languages as well. I have been in many concerts. Whether it's the Star Spangled Banner or any musical, I enjoy singing everyday.
I have played volleyball for 5 years and have played intramural volleyball in college. My position was a setter, and I have attended various camps learning my skill. I have also volunteered in teaching younger students. I enjoy the game! It’s fun, exciting, and competitive.
