I have studied the language for several years at Northeastern University in Boston, MA and am currently continuing my education at Harper Community College for Sign Language Interpreting.
I have a full-time position with the Life is good company as general manager and have run an independently owned store for the past four years. My passion is learning American Sign Language. I have various experiences working with the language in different environments. I have had the opportunity to tutor and run a summer camp for the deaf in Vermont, and earned over hundreds of volunteer hours in the deaf and deaf/blind community. I taught beginning American Sign Language classes at a park district camp and non-profit art studio.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a Bachelors of Science degree from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts concentrated in American Sign Language and Human Services with a minor in Psychology. I have over 500 volunteer hours working with the Deaf community. Currently, I am enrolled in Harper Community College Part Time working on a certificate for Sign Language Interpreting while working full time.
