Putting all my experience in photography into several paragraphs is difficult, but I will try.
I began my career with Paddock Publications in Downers Grove working with ten of the best photographers in the country. Several have gone on to shooting assignments for National Geographic. The next step for me was north to
Lake County. I was made director of photography for nine weekly papers, shooting nearly everyday. After that I was recruited by the Waukegan News Sun to become picture editor and assistant director of photography. During
my tenure at the newspaper the National Press Photographers Association recognized my efforts by awarding me "Picture Editor of the Year" Award.
Shortly after that, Channel Two and CBS Chicago became my next photo home.
I worked with Bill Kurtis and Walter Jacobson with pictures, stories and video airing on both the 6pm and 10pm newscasts. I was then assigned to the "Two on Two" documentary show that aired on Sunday nights, hosted by Bill
Kurtis. There I was a awarded a Chicago "Emmy" for three stories I produced. After that I went on went on to work for Time Magazine, Newsweek, People and Us but a short time later began to shoot for commercial corporate clients. Those assignments took me all over the world and all fifty states. One issue of a non-profit magazine that I shot in Africa won the IABC Best Photography Award.
In 2000 I turned to digital camera and nave been working with that medium for twelve years. Understanding the difference between film and megapixels has been an interesting change in my career. I love helping other people to understand the mysteries of "the pixel" and getting the most out of their digital cameras, from the little pocket camera to the Hi-End Digital SLR. Hope to hear from you. Putting all my experience in photography into several paragraphs is difficult, but I will try.

If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
