Mchenry County College
I am currently going to school to be a math teacher. I am working on the side tutoring some children that are in the middle school-high school level and work with a few college students. I would love to end up teaching high school one day. I got into math because I believe that the education system in Illinois needs to be fixed and am amazed on how some people don't know simple math. I am using my math abilities to help the general population and slowly start to improve our illiteracy. I promise you that I will teach you what you need to learn, and I try to make math fun and relate it in easier terms so people can understand. Math is not hard and it can be fun. Together, I can help make you as smart as Einstein.

Very patient and easy to understand!! Calculus has been a hard class for me but after meeting with Dan I feel more comfortable understanding the material.
Dan has done an excellent job of helping my son turn math failing into math winning. Prior to meeting Dan my son was under the impression he was a failure and could not pass math. Now my son is staying on top of math and eagerly looking forward to new problems to solve while passing math with flying colors.
Thank you Dan! Fantastic job of identifying and curing the math problem.
Dan continues to be an excellent tutor. He knows how the student thinks and processes Math, and therefore knows how to break the problems down step by step and very effectively.
Dan did a great job reviewing Algebra 1 with my son. He provided good feedback after every lesson so I knew where we stood.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have taken a course at Northern Illinois University that spent the entire semester dealing with linear algebra. I got an A in the course and felt as confident with the material as I do with calculus. I feel that I will be able to help students in this area that shall be taking the class and students that are taking any prerequisites to the class. During the semester, I was a part of a study group that consisted of four people. By the end of the semester, I was tutoring each of them to prepare them for the final.
