I started tutoring in math, physics, and chemistry when I was in High School. I continued tutoring in my free time while attending the California Institute of Technology, from which I graduated in 2016 with a BS in Math. My passion has always been math and teaching. I hope I can pass on some of my excitement to you.
I have 8 years of tutoring experience. I was a teaching assistant at UCLA, where I led sections in Differential Equations and Calculus II. I've also worked with the Schuler...

Wow big TY to David! Lets go! I was struggling with logical equivalencies and I am normally a very bright math student. David helped me arrive at some awesome conclusions today, that will help me to code information systems in the future! What a treat, more or less, I needed to have an excellent amount of dialouge & express my verbages in order to make sense of the correct ways to approach rheee complex lookkng hieroglyphics that are discrete mathematics. Most importantly I learned how to phrase things that are mathematicaly alward to write. I learned the importance of short hand, by reading it and then extrapolating significance from the law. I learned De Morgan was a lawyer; and it makes sense, because discrete math helps us to understand how a short way of saying something true, can be equivalent to saying something is true a longer way. I think thats true in life, and we should al learn the value of saying things that are true in both long and short ways. We should also learn to identify how information can be discovered as false, and how important it may be that we all know both the long and short version of false information . As true and false may be ones and zeros on a computer, but in life their significance is much more serious! Very cool session, looking forward to next time.

I'm such a slow thinker, especially when it comes to Discrete; but, David really gave me the go fasters! I was able go from a loose understanding of the subject with a blank page of notes on hand; to having my homework finished and ready to format for submission. I'm really able to enjoy math, because David is an actual authority on the subject. He understands the basics of pedagogy and how important it is to challenge a student. I learned a little extra, and its a nice surprise, to be enjoying Math! I love math, but it sure is frustrating to go to think slowly! Thanks David; I'm gonna go practice!

David came prepared to teach, and I more or less learned a significant amount of material given the hour we had together. Not to mention the fact that David is very accomodating and tech saavy. He was nice enough to reschedule our first session, an hour before the appointment! It gets better, I had a few technical issues, and David didn't charge me for it. He politely calculated when to begin the hour, without even telling me. And, I have to say thats a great attitude to have these days. So, thank-you David, and its a pleasure to tell others they should work with you; because I'll rest assured they'll get what they came for!

Did well explaining
AP physics, explained how to go at a problem. Got student over the hump. Broke the problem down and went through a few. Was on time and easy to meet with at a location in the middle.
