My present students are in Pre-Algebra, Algebra I and II, Geometry, and Trigonometry. Currently I tutor 20 students a week but I still have some availability. I have many references available to answer any of your questions. I have many satisfied students. In the past I have tutored students in biology, writing, and psychology. I am a certified teacher with a masters degree. I have offices in both Deerfield and Northbrook. I promise to find a customized way to help your child succeed in school. I incorporate note-taking, test taking, and organizational skills into all of my tutoring sessions.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have ben tutoring children with ADHD for over 15 years. I earned my Masters Degree in teaching in 1997. I started my career teaching math, science and heath to an integrated classroom in the city of Chicago. I moved on to tutoring while I was teaching and became a full time tutor when I moved to the suburbs in 2000. Presently I tutor 30 kids a week. Each student is different but my areas of expertise are upper level math, science, writing, and students with ADHD and executive functioning disorder. Most of my students cope with the later which is why they seek a tutor in the first place. I consider myself an expert with these kinds of cases. Many of my ADHD kids have been with me for over 6 years and have gone on to some great schools.
I am a "multi-purpose" tutor who specializes in all levels of math, writing, biology, and study skills. My present caseload includes students in middle school and higher. I have been tutoring in the area for over 13 years. I believe an organized student is better abled to tackle more challenging subjects. Many of my students struggle with ADHD and executive functioning disorder. With my help, students are able to prepare for class and feel empowered to complete their work.
