My name is Philip H. I grew up in Palo Alto, California and was a division 1 soccer player at Harvard College. I have been tutoring high schoolers and college undergrads for over 5 years. I specialize in helping students leverage academics as a way to get into top tier colleges. I can help students balance a rigorous sports schedule while maintaining the highest academic standards in the classroom by devising unique strategies that not only worked for myself, but for my past students as well.

I am fluent in speaking , reading and writing because my whole family is German. I grew up speaking it every day and went to a German school from K-8th grade.

I’ve had to write hundreds of essays throughout my studies in high school and Harvard. I was taught by some of the best teachers in the world on how to structure an essay from start to finish.

I have been working for Citi Bank in Finance for 14 months and can help those students who are looking to learn tips and tricks for the interview process, as well as those who have questions on the adjustment from college to the real world. I’ve done over 15 interviews, practiced 50+ case studies for consulting and had offers from prestigious firms such as Goldman Sachs, Microsoft and others.

I took my first economics class sophomore year in high school and AP Economics the following two years and realized I loved it. Decided to major in it at Harvard and was an economist at Citi Bank in Risk Management my first year out of college.
