I am a rising senior at Howard University in Washington D.C. studying political science, history and community development. I attended Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School in Chicago, where I found my passion for service and education. Previously, I have interned in the Civil Rights Office at the Federal Aviation Administration and spent my time drafting memorandums and Reports of investigations. I am currently a Government Relations intern at Intuit and spend my time drafting memos, collecting data, summarizing Congressional Committee Hearings, and communicating with a wide-range of people.

I have been involved with and served as the president of a community service organization on Howard's campus with the purpose of empowering women, enriching the community, and educating the youth. In the DC community, I started an after-school tutoring program with Cardozo Education Campus where I coordinated volunteers and tutored students in the subjects of English, Language Arts, History, and Elementary math. I am also a writer for The Hilltop, the student newspaper and President of Leading Women of Tomorrow, Howard Chapter, an organization that strives to get more women involved in government. Outside of Howard, I volunteer time at a food pantry in Washington D.C. and the Greater Chicago Food Depository in Chicago.

Throughout my life, I have excelled in all subject in school. I also have experience tutoring students grade 1-8, in math and as an older sister and community member, I spend a lot of time teaching others this subject.

From grades 3 through my third year of college I have studied and excelled in the Spanish language. I also have visited Mexico, Costa Rica, Spain, and Puerto Rico, and have had extensive conversations with Native Spanish Speakers in these locations.

Writing is one of my passions and is something that I do on a day-to-day basis. I have experience writing creative essays, poetry, prose, essays, official letters/statements, and official memorandums. Friends, family, co-workers, and ma
