I'm Chris! I was born and raised in Venezuela and speak fluent Spanish. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer computer science from MIT. My first experience teaching students was in college as a teaching assistant for the software engineering course taken by the hundreds of students pursuing a computer science degree. Since then, I have enjoy helping students solve problems and answer questions by tapping into what they already know. I like to assess a student's current level of understanding, and help them build upon their foundation of knowledge as we work together toward the student's goals.

I am currently in my last year of medical school at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine on a full-tuition scholarship, pursuing an M.D. degree. As far as my tutoring experience: I have had the opportunity to do one-on-one tutoring with four high school students in Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus. As I mentioned before, I was a teaching assistant for college-level software engineering coursework in Java. I held open office hours where students could come for help on their homework assignments and projects. I also have experience in Python and C# as well. As a medical student, I have taught small groups in the anatomy lab, and have also taught students in a one-on-one setting. I have experience teaching Spanish to medical students in small groups.

I would love to help students achieve their goals! I welcome any resources or suggestions to this end. Please feel free to reach out with questions or to schedule lessons – I am easily reachable and very responsive.
