About Jason

UCI grad. Scored 99th percentile in Optometry Admission Test.

I have 7 years of experience in private tutoring, and I was also hired at an academy named IvyMax when I was in undergrad studying Biomedical Engineering at University of California, Irvine.

I started tutoring students and classmates when I was a sophomore in high school, and I am now a student at the Illinois College of Optometry working towards my goal of becoming an eye doctor.

I experience great joy when I help a student regain confidence in math. I have the ability to break down the material and help the students understand it easily. They often tell me I teach differently than teachers in school, and this make it easier for them to learn it.

I have helped students in a wide range subjects including elementary math through high school math, chemistry and physics. I can assist students with homework and test preparations. All of the students I've helped so far gave me great feedback and said I was super helpful. My patience and a unique way of teaching can either help students excel in their subject or finally keep up in the subject.

My tutoring approach includes making a formula sheet, assigning study guides and homework. I believe I can help students fully understand the concepts, but ultimately they still have to do practice problems in order to excel in math.

If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Patient and Easy to Follow Along Tutor

Jason did an awesome job helping me understand complex mathematical problems in geometry through algebra. I was really struggling with my college algebra class and I needed to do good on my final to pass the class. Jason helped me understand what I was doing wrong. He is very patient and guided me through each math problem so I can understand the process of how to solve each equation. He is also
