About Punreet

Hi there, my name is Jazz. I recently finished medical school and am currently applying for residency. I work in research at Lurie Children's and absolutely love it! I am also studying for my last board exam. With that said, this requires me to already go over Concepts/Subjects such as Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, Nutrition, as well as Microbiology. So why not spread the knowledge by helping you in whichever way you learn best (audio, visual, through application, written, drawing, etc...) through tutoring? I absolutely love medicine and love, love teaching. During my years in medical school I became part of study groups in which many times I would lead them. This required me to formulate study plans, excel at the topics I was to go over and teach, and answer any questions that were to come my way. Tutoring is such a great way to talk through key concepts back and forth so it becomes stored for long term memory. That way we can not only ace those exams but apply it to real life setting! My father always says that if you can teach someone a concept then you have truly mastered that topic. As a side note as well. I know it is not listed on here but I am more than happy to even tutor and go over USMLE material for those in medical school planning to take either Step 1 or Step 2 soon.

I took all of these subjects extensively throughout medical school in which I aced all of them. I passed and did well on both my Step exams thus far. I was also 2 classes shy of graduating with a minor in Nutrition. Nutrition is a big part of my life and I felt it was important to gain a full understanding of it. This came very handy when in medical school when we were tested on vitamin deficiencies as well as biochemical pathways metabolic breakdowns, and etc. All these subjects are connected. If I can make many correlations to give someone a better picture of what is being taught it provides I have noticed a better understanding and is easier to remember.

If you would like to set up a tutor session or simply have additional questions or concerns please don't hesitate to send me a message here. I will get in contact with you ASAP. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Anatomy

I am an Anatomy Lab teaching assistant in medical school, and a Neuroanatomy Lab teaching assistant in medical school. I gave tutoring lessons over weekly labs in group sessions with another peer of mine after school hours. I went over anatomy of the body on cadavers in the lab. I was picked out from other students to lead these tutoring sessions. I helped the teacher setup the anatomy practicals.

Nutrition

I have an M.D. degree in which we learned and were tested extensively on the role of nutrition on your body. I also took numerous amounts of classes in undergrad on nutrition.

Pharmacology

I learned and was tested about pharmacology extensively throughout medical school. Now have my M.D. degree. You can't really succeed in medical school without excelling in pharmacology. It was not only one of my favorite subjects by far but my best subject in terms of grades and my understanding of it.

Great Tutor!

Punreet was a great tutor and helped me pass Advanced Pathophysiology, I highly recommend her! My class had a huge amount of information and she helped me condense the information so it wasn't as overwhelming and also pick out the things that I should know or remember the most; which is something I struggled with. Punreet is very knowledgeable in the medical field and was able to explain concept
