Hi! I am a recent MD graduate from UIC. I started residency in family medicine but left because of family circumstances. I am primarily looking for tutoring clients who are interested in developing a career in medicine. This could include help with your premed courses, assistance with applications or personal statements, interviews, assistance with your medical school coursework, career guidance, assistance with residency applications, and preparation for standardized tests (MCAT, USMLE Step 1,2 and 3). I have scored above the 90th percentile for all exams, was Junior AOA, and graduated medical school with honors.
In my temporarily stalled career in medicine, I am interested in all facets of human health and enjoy looking at what the evidence says about treatment, talking to patients, learning the art of physical exam and history taking, and working to understand how we can align science and medical care with what we value in life.
As a medical student I have learned and reinforced many of the basic sciences as they apply to the human body. I feel most qualify to help you with anatomy, biology, physiology, and microbiology although I can work out other subject areas as well like biochem, organic chemistry and so on.
I am best suited for the USMLE Step 1 2 or 3 or any medical school curriculum since this is more recent. I scored 37 on the MCAT, taken about 6 years ago. I ranked in the 90th percentile for all three step exams. I am a great resource for those looking to apply to medical school or advice on this career path - I've made a few mistakes and happy to share what I know.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I graduated from medical school in 2015. In addition to the standard anatomy class for all students in first year, I participated in additional dissection course during 4th year. I am currently working as a dissection TA as I wait to begin residency.
